Women and their children seeking safety in the US have been tear gassed and treated like animals.
Join groups around the US for a Stop the Tears weekend of action to oppose Trump's treatment of our neighbors.
Co-hosted by Jews United for Justice-Baltimore, Be the Change Baltimore, SURJ BAltimore, and ACLU of Maryland. Speaker will be announced when confirmed
Potentially, we will have a "wall" where you can write messages to Trump and Department of Homeland Security decrying these actions, and deliver it with another day of action on Dec 10 (stay tuned for details).
They should have sent more judges to process applications, not tear gas.
March on the Polls!
After a great rally at the church with DJ Shannell B and amazing women leaders and speakers, City residents march to vote at West Side Skill Center. County residents can take a shuttle to their early voting location. We’ll finish up the event and celebrate the power of our vote with a party hosted by Slay the Vote!

Join us for a series of activities to kick off BWU efforts to get out the Women's vote in Baltimore City/County.
10am- Rally with Susie Turnbull, candidate for Maryland's Lt. Governor, and more (more speakers will be announced as confirmed)
10:45am - Training on Voter Registration, Canvassing and Postcarding (if you have already been trained, we'll get you started instead)
11:30-2pm - Your choice of events: Canvassing in the area, registering voters, or postcarding.

Baltimore typically has a very low voter turnout, which makes it easy for lawmakers to overlook the city's concerns. We will canvass to keep progressive women engaged in the political process, learn the concerns of our neighbors and citizens, and encourage people to turn out to vote in the June primary and the November general election.
